Transforming the way SME’s sell their businesses and raise capital

edenX is a A$50 million platform, targeting underserviced SME transactions, enabling deal and capital flow across borders. It is one of the most comprehensive, high service marketplaces for small to mid-sized mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising, targeting the Asia Pacific.

edenX aims to modernise a fragmented industry, where it is estimated that 97% of all businesses in APAC are SMEs, many of which do not have access to the deal resources of large advisory firms and consultancies.

The newly established digital and collaborative ecosystem will reduce friction in deal making across Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and ultimately globally. It will help facilitate the transfer of A$6.5 trillion of assets and wealth from baby boomers to a new generation. As a complete end-to-end platform for market services, the new venture brings together an international network of over 120,000 business buyers, sellers and advisers.

Before its acquisition by Eden Exchange, Dealcierge had been incubated by SC Ventures, Standard Chartered’s innovation, fintech investment, and ventures arm. Its extensive Asian networks are underpinned by a Capital Markets Services Licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for dealing in capital markets products under Pegasus Dealmaking Pte Ltd. SC Ventures remains a shareholder in the combined venture.

Eden Exchange started out as a Melbourne-based fintech known for its DealXchange platform, which connects business advisers, buyers, and sellers, to enable small business and franchise sales. Its Australian and New Zealand networks enabled over 5,000 transactions.
